Edinburgh, 23rd November 2017 - ZoneFox took home two of the four awards it was nominated for at last night's Scottish Cyber Awards. First it won the Leading Light Innovation award, swiftly followed by winning the Cyber SME Defender of the Year category.
In its second year the awards seek to promote Scotland's rapidly growing cyber security sector. The judges were impressed by ZoneFox’s commitment to continuous innovation, which this year alone has seen it integrate compliance reporting and launch a hosted version of its flagship platform for the mid-market.
Based in Edinburgh, ZoneFox combats the growing risk of the insider threat, and rapidly identifies and alerts on anomalous or suspicious activity by monitoring user behaviour and data movement, both on and off the network. This includes activity such as file transferring, data loss or theft, writing IP to removable media, tunnelling data through the dark web, ransomware and malware files entering the network and unauthorised or suspicious file access. The company counts healthcare firm Craneware, Zenith Bank, Nucleus Finance and gaming giant Rockstar Games among its clients.
Collecting the award, Dr. Jamie Graves commented: “It’s our mission to provide proactive security. To deliver on that vision we’re constantly challenging ourselves to develop the product in new ways and integrate emerging technologies so that every company, large or small, has access to the technology needed to defend against formidable cyber opponents.”
“Scotland’s Cyber industry is booming, it’s a real hotbed for innovation and initiatives like the Scottish Cyber Skills Programme are leading the way in ensuring that the next generation have the skills to continue pioneering new technical frontiers. To win these awards against this backdrop is absolutely amazing and a real testament to the commitment, vision and tenacity of the entire team.”
